NXP Live Connects — NXP Semiconductors

The technology behind connected life.

NXP builds the chips behind connected life — across automotive, communication infrastructure, industrial systems and mobile applications. Its annual 45-minute technology conference moves through that entire landscape: the latest products, trends and innovations. In a virtual format, the task was not to put individual chips on screen. It was to give an invisible technology ecosystem a place people could see.

NXP LIVE 2021

From web narrative to spatial stage.

The keynote did not begin as a separate stage production. We took the narrative and digital assets built for NXP's web experience, upgraded their visual fidelity, made them spatial and brought them into the Hyperbowl virtual-production studio. At the centre, a holographic exhibition table became the common stage for technologies that normally remain hidden inside devices and infrastructure.

VFX breakdown: beneath the virtual exhibition table, an empty stage and concealed preview monitors kept the presenter aligned with cues and camera output.

5G, made spatial.

Communication infrastructure was one chapter in a much larger technology landscape. We turned NXP's role in 5G into a spatial sequence — where the signal travels, what the chip does and why latency matters — so a remote audience could follow the argument instead of the buzzword.

NXP CONNECTS 2020 — FIRST VIRTUAL EDITION

Inside the battery pack.

The first virtual edition in 2020 already used the stage to move between NXP's technology fields. One chapter opened the electric-vehicle battery pack: cell balancing, thermal behaviour and the failures NXP's silicon is there to prevent — processes that decide safety and range, but happen where no one can look.

Two editions. One evolving format.

Across 2020 and 2021, the format turned NXP's annual technology update into a reusable spatial system. New verticals, products and web assets could enter the same visual language without rebuilding the show from scratch. This was not a digital stand-in for a trade-fair floor. It was a better instrument for explaining technology that was never visible in the first place.
